Ok guys! I've been saying it and asking questions on it for months already but this Saturday it is going on. I've everything ordered and ready. Here's gonna be my lift for my 2wd 97 explorer sport. If you have any advice, please tell me. This will be my first time.

Front: 3" Explorer pro comp spindle and 1.25" TT $395
Rear: 4" trail master leaf spring 90-94 $241.11
Shocks: RS 5000 $147.80

Total: 4" Lift $783.91

I already have 31x10.5 BFG w/ eagle 589's. From Spashman's picture, 31's didnt' look that bad. Hopefully mine wont.

According to Djohnsons and Ray Lobota who each have 90-94 4" lifted springs say it is a direct replacement. Yes, you would need longer shocks.

You may be looking for a set of 32" after your lift. They will fill out the wheel well very nicely. The 31" may be a little skimpy after the 4" lift.
