I'm stuck in the snow, and my 4WD is not engaging.

my ford explorer will not go in 4 wheel drive, the transfer case and axles are turning but it will not turn the front wheels can any one help

Sounds like your auto hubs (you do have the auto hubs, right?) are either bad or just dirty. You can search on here and find several threads on the cleaning and/or replacement of the auto hubs. Good luck, and let us know how it turns out!
