The only mod persay would be the air filter. Which is round type k&n and open air box. The maf was replaced recently. And the engine was basically rebuilt recently. And the tires are muchelin ltx m\s with a good 30 thousand on em but still look legit.

You over-oiled your air filter or it was over oiled from the factory. Clean your MAF (oil from the air filter got on the MAF sensor) and disconnect your battery for 10 mins. Your mileage will go back to like new.

That sounds right. When I installed my cold air intake, my mileage went to 12, I wiped off the maf sensor, reconnected the battery and it wend from 12 to 21.7. (It was 16.9 before I installed the cold air intake)
