1996 EXPLORER/EXPEDITION
Here is my 1996 Explorer/expedition, yes that's the model name for these in Japan. I got it with 99,000k on the dash, Yes Kilometers only no mph on this puppy. I live in Guam and cars here are just to beat up for my taste even after 5 years they are trashed pretty bad so I got something that was brought here.

The vehicle looks pretty much brand new and the big bonus no Guam rust or destroyed paint from the sun and coral roads. Plus they try to rape you on prices even on junk vehicles. I got this for 5,000 bucks, Could not find a better vehicle here for under 8k.

Takes some getting use to, But since I go to the Philippines all the time I am pretty use to it.

Flawless exterior and interior.

Nice!

One of our Moderators' parents are from Guam -- Froader is his handle.
And as for me, I was born in the Philippines :).

I was in Tokyo about a year ago and I was able to find some Explorers -- I found some that were right hand, and some that were left hand drive.

Left hand drive 3rd gen at a Ford dealer:

Right hand drive 2nd gen at a parking lot:

^ Holy rain guards! ^

Looks good, I'm surprised that the factory sport nerf bars don't even look rusty in the picts.

Nice explorer  lol to the rain guards.

nice rear end! Got to love seeing fords over seas. Crazy how things are so different. Why does your rearend have that? Added safety?

I should go to Guam and import fords hmmmm lol

nice looking x u got there r u planning to do any mods to it

Rain guards are pretty common in Japan, If you had a monsoon season you would want them to  We have the same thing in Guam about 4 months of strait rain.

Yeah there is not a bit of rust on the thing, it was well taken care of. The only mods I plan is a brush guard up front and something for the rear to protect the my tailgate since it can't be replaced with the same thing again. Looks like its got a 2" lift on it and already has the larger tires so I'm pretty happy with it. Might get some gears for better pick up since there is no highway here don't have to worry about mpg on the highway.

r u thinkin of doing exhaust to it at all

so.....are there no mounty's in japan?

yeah good question is there any mounty's in japan

Yes there are mountans in japan ever here of mount Fuji

I might do some exhaust on it, It's still a little sluggish for my taste since my other cars are supercharged.

Of roading is big in japan they just prefer these. which or turbo diesel vehicles I love them as well and will be getting on when I retire to the Philippines in 2012. 4x4 vans are more popular in Japan

You need to hit up Google

Oh- and the Explorer Expedition was sold here as well- it was the 2-door version... I bought a rear hatch emblem to replace mine just for giggles.

It lists it as a model in my '95 Explorer US Brochure, at least:

"Explorer Expedition is distinguished by its fog lamps, luggage rack, side step bars, rear tow hook, wide wheel lip moldings, 16" chrome steel wheels and agressive P255 tires."

Pretty cool differences- I like seeing overseas stuff!

i, too, like the rear hatch. that is pretty cool.

There is one more for sale here in guam but it's light blue.
