in dash montior in console?

I was curious about something. Could I Mount my in dash kenwood 7 in monitor headunit in like a tuffy Jeep console? I mean one of those security consoles that locks. I was curious because the radios in these consoles mount straight up and down and didnt know if this would cause it to not work right. If you can mount a cd player like that why not a monitor style head unit? If this wont work does anyone know of a good locking console I could get to mount my headunit in? Im looking for something for security for my 98 blazer sport. Thanks for your time.
