Hi all here is the deal. 93 x 4x4 with the wonderful a4ld.:thumbdwn: It ran fine so got her some new shoes. On ride home (about 29 miles) after about 15 I came to a stop sign. Got a studier like a manual and some one forgot to push in the clutch. When that stopped (it almost killed the motor) I hit the gas to go and well no go did not matter what gear forward or the one back wards.:( Now I had just gone threw rush hour traffic stop and go less then ten mints before this. To get truck to move had to use 4 low and lots of rpms once it got moving in low rang it seamed to shift and run fine 35 mph at 3,000rpms.
This thing was rebuilt about 4 years ago and less then 30,000 mile. (Fact rebuilt 3 times in less then a year all out of warranty so I now have a $7,000.00 trany and it is not even gold plated.)Any ideas? I can not pull the tray so a rebuild diy is out but can do a valve body. if it is rebuild time as any shop I have called says dose any one know of a good one that knows a4ld's in Fresno calif . This thing is dead in the water no and well it is my only transportation. The reason I can not pull the tray is I am disabled and do not have the strength or for that fact a place I can do it.
If you know of a shop that would do good work ( I have already paid to many times for bad work :dunno:)let me know
Please help this old fart get his money pit running again so we are both happy on mountain drives again!Or do you thik it would be best to just :shoot: it and get over it ? every thing other it runs like a dream
