I am having a couple of problems with my drivers side front wheel. Sometimes when I press the brake, i hear a popping sound. Let go of the pedal and push again, it does the same thing. There is also a rattle from that same wheel when I go over bumps.

As you know when you remove the wheel, part of the hub comes off as well. If I shake that part of the hub, I can hear a rattle in the hub, although it does not sound the same as the previous sound I mentioned. Does this mean my auto hubs are going bad?

Not the hub, probally the brake caliper sticking..Have you ever replaced or greased the holding pins? That is where I would start.

Ford calipers use plastic pistons alot also . Them pistons like to stick . It dosent sound like they are sticking to me cause youd have a brake problem . Lube the brake retainer pins with waterproof grease and see if that gets the sound .

the 92and 93 also had a recall for the front hubs cant
remember what it was but i do remember that wierd popping sound.

popping sound

If you feel the pop in the brake pedal, it could be your radius arm bushing(s). I replaced mine last april, and now they are bad again. Either I have cheap parts (autozone) or too agressive driving, which I don't think I do.
