I just got to the Alpine website (thanks Nick!) and I was looking at headunits first off. Would this fit?

http://www.alpine1.com/html/De_n_148_n_n.html

I have the JBL system with the tape deck and changer controls in the dash, you load the cd in the console dealy instead of the dash. I like that alot, I just dont know if it'll fit. Now, on to speakers, I was thinking Infinity Kappas, but how about Alpine speakers? I havent ever listened to any of those before. Thanks guys

I hate to be so little help, but go listen to them, and buy the ones you like the best. Also, go to a stereo place you trust. Average speakers can sound amazing if they are installed correctly (On axis if necessary and imaged well), so don't worry so much about taking the time or spending some money on the install.

I've heard both and have liked both. Just remember separates are more money, but often the way to go, in addition to powering them up a little,

Good luck,
Karl Burns

never buy a deck without at least reading up on it first, I went to the audio store probablly 3 times just to mess around with the eclipse I have, and the website? probablly 50 times.. just to recall what it looked like, if yer not in a hurry, don't make a hasty desicion.

As far as "fit" I've been told by some people that the ford din and 1/2 is not actually a standard din 1/2, meaning that it may not fit, you would probablly want to check with your local shop about this.

If you can't find a deck that fits the stock opening like you want, and you don't want to go with one of those messy prefabricated converter dash kits, you might want to try and do what I did, overall, I think it looks cleaner than the kits would. You can see it on the 2nd page of my signature's link.

As far as speakers, Infinity over alpine.

After writing this, it might seem a bit affirmative or pushy, but, its all your desicion, just make sure if nothing else, you try and hear them for yourself first.
