Info on 2nd Gen X

I'm looking at an upgrade. I need V8 power. I've done a ton of learning lifting my '94...what I would / wouldn't do over. I'm frustrated to no end with this mysterious 55-65 (70 on mine with the 31's) rear end shake that appeared after I installed the lift.

I read another post, something about torching off some brackets and welding on new ones.

I want to do all of the learning I can. Is there a difference btwn 95-97, and 98? Also, is there a problem with lifting the AWD?

Can someone give me an education?

You're talking about the torsion bar bracket mount deals. How the 95-97 they are welded to the frame while in '98 they started bolting them.

There is no difference at all lifting an awd compared to a 4wd.

EDIT: You'd want to torch and bolt.. not torch and weld.
