What are the potential problems with a lift on a 2nd Gen Ex, particularly the V8?

Anyone had problems? Success stories?

I don't do a whole lot of hardcore off-roading, so the lift is mainly for looks. I want it to drive smooth without any vibrations or problems. Would I be better off without the lift?

Thanks.

P.S. I know I posted something similar earlier, but I kind of botched the post, and the title doesn't really get to my question...sorry.

body lift or suspension lift?

Sorry...looking for info on a suspension lift for 96-98.

Thanks.

Looking to upgrade...tired of the inherent vibration and gutless nature of the 1st gen...

SuperLift Impressions

I have had the Superlift 4" on my 1996 V8 XLT for about 1 year now, and I am very happy with it. Ride quality is fine, and about the only thing I can say negative is that with my Camber set to factory nominal (about -0.70 degrees) I have seen lots of inside edge tire wear. I need to try a lower camber setting (maybe -0.3 or -0.4 degrees) to see if I can eliminate the wear. I also need to re-center my steering wheel, as the last alignment did a toe adjust but didn't hold the wheel centered when doing it.

I am running 32" tires, and also think that changing the final drive from 3.73 to 4.10 would be a great idea to get a higher rpm at highway speed, as currently, I appear to be below the power band if I run in OD. I have a hard time using OD when towing my trailer.

Overall, I am very happy with the lift.
