I repaced the ingition lock cylinder in my 1988 Ford Ranger 2.3 L. When I turn the key in the old one as long as I held the key down it would run as soon as I let go the truck shut off. Put the new ingition lock cylinder in I have to hold it down just like the old one when I let go of the key truck shut down I know holding the key down like that will burn out the starter I am not sure what to do from here.
