2022 Explorer XLT
I'm buying a '22 Explorer XLT today, with manual folding 3rd-row seats (tan leather). I'm wondering if i can get power folding seats (do they call them 'PowerFold'?) somewhere and install them myself. Has anyone done this?

Also, i'll want to install a tow hitch with a straight-line lighting connection (4-pins in a line, 3 female & 1 male). Where do i get a tow package, , how is the Explorer bumper modified for this, and how do i connect the electric wiring?

Welcome to the Forum.
I don't believe anyone here has swapped the 3rd row manual seats with the power fold ones. I think it would take a bit of work to do it if possible.
I'm not sure what you wish to tow but with an aftermarket hitch, the XLT is limited to 3000 lbs. The tow package was a dealer installation since there was no factory option to install. If you want the factory look you would have to cut out that part of the bumper for the hitch. It seems the hitch is a "Discontinued" item. There are several videos on the Internet on aftermarket hitches like Curt, etc.

I have power folding third row seats in my 2020 ST. They're left down to accommodate our dog and carrying things. About half the times that I put them up, usually to clean the car, they have some sort of position memory problem, lost knowledge of their position, and don't work. I end up having to perform a reset on them, then put them back down until next time the car is cleaned. I would prefer manual seats.

You should work out a trade with the original poster. :D

As for the towing receiver and wiring harness, etrailer.com is a reliable source. Check the 2022 Ford trailer towing guide for towing limits without the factory trailer tow package. Adding a aftermarket receiver does not qualify the vehicle for the factory trailer tow package ratings.
