i have a few questions pretaining to the stock premium system in my explorer and the upgrading um doin.
i went and put in an aftermarket mp3 cd player and i had a direct 250d and all i had layin around was a k-mart special 10"... well fried the speaker and the amp promptly. sent off the amp and went out and bought a 12" bandpass subwoofer and i had a punch 45.2 layin around and i asked the guy if id have any problems using my punch 45 with this new sub and he said no it should run it nicely.... needless to say i blew that speaker up because of underpower. well now ive got my directed amplifier back and i borrowed the audio installers bass box till mine came back, becasue he felt sorry for me i guess(12" fullyinclosed little box, with a little bit of silicone to repair the speaker).
ford explorer 4-door, premium audio, wich means i got 2 stock amps in the vehicle. one for the bass box and one for the 4 door speakers. any ideas of how i should set this up so it doesnt sound like crap and it doesnt cost me an arm and a leg? mind u all the stuff i listed up on top is still in my possesion and usable... or will be in 2-4 weeks.
p.s. i have a pluto hifonics amp too
1-93' ford explorer 4-door
1- cd player with front and rear rca outs and speaker outputs
1- directed amp 350 watts
1- punch45.2
1-pluto hi fonics 70 watt
2-front 6 1/2" prowler by petras
2-tweets to go along with the 2- 6 1/2"
2-rear door speakers. stock just now
1- bandpass sub 12"
how do i wire this stuff and not loose the degradation in sound. is it possible? can i get to an acceptable loss? am i nit pickin with the sound degradation? did this post make any sense? please reply if u think u can shed any light into my dillemma
