installed new valve cover gaskets as the old ones were leaking their ***** off. after reinstalling everything the car now runs like crap.

when it first starts it sounds like a few cylinders are firing. almost feels like the car is jumping towards the sides of the car.

so i checked for codes found nothing. checked voltage and resistance readings on every sensor but the ckp and the cmp.

everything read normal according to alldata.

gas mileage is less than 9 per gallon all of a sudden. it's misfiring like crazy.

scraped tons and tons of goop off of the inside of the valve covers and got it as clean as i could .

wondering if a chunk of nastiness might have got caught in the oil gallies or something or even in a lifter or rocker.

im at a loss as to what happened.

could use any help anyone might have.

getting ready to check for vacuum leaks but im not seeing any. gonna do a suck in the ether test on it and see if i have a leak somewheres.

thanks everyone

update: i'm a retard. it looks like when i changed the intake manifold gasket i installed it backwards. was just out there with the flashlight looking and noticed a little black spot on the lower intake manifold which im guessing is the intake runner for the lower intake manifold.

thanks for the help
sometimes retards fix things too woohooo:)
