This weekend a installed a Pioneer Premier deh-p630.
All I have to say is OH MY GOD. The installation was super easy because i bought all the stuff from circuit city. The Organic EL is awesome and there are a hundred ways to adjust the sound level. It woke up my suband i think i will need to replace my 6x8s also to make it sound better.
Just thought i would let y'all know.
oh by the way, i got it 1/3 off the retail!!

that's cool. the premiers are pretty good headunits.
if you have a stock amp and you bypass it, you will get a cleaner sound and more power (from your headunit).

Nice HU  What did you do with the extra din opening?

That is great. All I own is Pioneer stuff. It is good stuff. Where do you live? In New Hampshire Circut City all they sell is regular Pioneer. So it is a pain to get it around here. Good luck with your unit.

I bought it off a friend of mine for real cheap. Right now i am at college in South Carolina. I used the installation kit that circuit city has. The plastic in the kit fills the area. Over the HU there's a little shelf thing to throw money or the remote into. I know i need to get a bypass for the stock amp. Does anyone know the price of one?

amp bypass

Does anyone know what wire from the stock amp is for the power antenna in a 97 XLT w/ the JBL stock sound system?

Thanks in advance.

Matt
