I've picked up a remote starter for my truck. All wired in, it starts up fine, but my system shuts the motor off 5 seconds after it starts. Apparently it can't see the motor running.
It needs minimum 1.8V AC from the tachometer at idle speed. I've measured the AC from the tachometer wire, and it only gives out 0.5V AC.
Can I wire in a capacitor to boost up the voltage up, or should I try to find another output while the motor is running, like an injector or the PCM?
