installing head unit in a 1997

im installing an aftermarket headunit in my 1997 with JBL sound. im curious what color wires are the remote turn on, power, ground. Those are the only ones i need right? if im just gonna run RCA's to my amps, thanks

check a chiltons repair manual, they have wiring diagrams in the back...


or you could just clip the wires and check if and when they have power with a volt/ohm meeter

you could also just buy the harness adapter, and then youll get all of the wires labled, since with my 97 it has separate plugs for power and speakers, but yours may be diff. either way you can buy an adapter for like $15
