Ok, I go to start my car and it sparks, starts up, but idles out right away - unless I give it gas, in which case I rev it for a second until it sounds a hair stronger and when I let it go back to idle it's fine. I had my cousin (who's a foreman ford mechanic at a dealership nearby) run it on the diagnostics machine there and he said it wasn't reading anything was wrong. Since then I have replaced the plugs/wires, had the injectors drip-cleaned, did the air filter, cleaned the IAT and the MAS, and my cousin installed a new idle air controller valve which seemed to take away a different problem. Anyway, I run gumout regain engine cleaner and the like religiously and have replaced almost everything I could think of that may have caused the problem (half of it I did because I bought mine used and didn't know when the guy before me did any tune up stuff).

Anyone else have a similar problem? I just cleaned the MAS last night...so I'm still giving it its week trial period to see if it continues to happen. I guess you could just say the engine feels weak starting up.

Also... 95 Explorer Sport, 4wd, 4.0 v6, automatic.

Seems to happen when it feels like happening... :(
