Interested in wheeling at Uwharrie, NC

hey guys, i only have 2wd. BUt i would love to get together, since there arent like groups runs down here. Would i be alright or would it be better off for me not to come. PLus im only 17. -TJ

Yea I have a 1979 Ford 60 for the rear. If the price is right I am just going to put a 60 in the front.

Appx91.. no i dont have a locker. I could prolly get one by june 3rd. But dont know if it would be installed. See.. i get my graduation gift next week. My parents are looking at geting me a roof rack with lights, but unles yall could help me out choosing a locker, (i have always wanted one, and dont mean to thread jack) but the price of a locker and installation would have do be under about 450 at the most. unless i could pick one up off the website.And i would prolly have to call to order it or whatever by monday. There is a shop that is around here so. How would a powertrax lock-right. I have a LS. Thanks -TJ

A lock-right won't work with a LS carrier. You'd need a no-slip (also made by Powertrax)...plus it has more road manners but costs more.

I think you would have fun. Most trails have by-passes onn the parts when you really need 4wd. So you are LS in the rear correct? If I go I want mind hooking a strap to you if you need it. Not sure if I am going right now though.

take I40 to clemmons, NC get off at teh Lewisville-Clemmons Rd. exit and hang a right. to to stratford Rd. Hang a left. go to Centenary Church Rd. take a right stop in church parking lot and call my cell phone. Ill meet you there and lead you the rest of the way. Its all backroads from there.

monkey for you i would just mapquest to Troy, NC and meet us at Eldorado Outpost on Hwy 109. It is the only gas station near Uwharrie.

lets plan to meet friday June 3rd at 5pm at Eldorado Outpost (Troy, NC). We can camp friday night ans wheel saturday, ill camp saturday night if anyone wants to hang around till sunday monring to leave out.
