I want to find a way to add some color to my interior.
I have seen the way that some of you have dyed your interior and I think it looks really good. But I would like to do it in a dark blue, trying to match my exterior.
I don't think I want to paint the parts with exterior paint (I don't want it to shine). So my questions are has anyone done the dyeing process any color other than black?
And will the vinyl dye work on any hard plastics?

I dont think dyes would work on hard plastic very well if at all. The interior plastic is not porous enought to let the dye soak in. I think your only real option is to either go to a bone yard and pick what color you want out of another explorer or paint.

There are numerous paints you could use that are not high gloss.
