Interior light issue

When I open the driver side door the interior lights do not come on, all other doors work. Any ideas?

Bet the "DOOR AJAR" indicator in the cluster doesn't either does it?

When I open the driver side door the interior lights do not come on, all other doors work. Any ideas?

- broken wire somewhere from the switch (so the ground signal never gets back to tell the door opened)
- broken switch in the latch (the switch never makes a ground connection to tell the door opened)
- broken ground wire to the switch (everything mentioned before works, but the switch doesn't have a ground to connect to, to tell the door is open)

not really high tech stuff, do a search there have been some posts about the door ajar switch before.

Had the same issue on my '05. It was a broken wire near the switch. Take the door panel off and look inside and I bet you see a broken wire.
