Ok I think I'm finally stumped. I have a new switch already so that's ruled out. The fuse will not blow if the illumination pigtail is not connected to the switch. If I plug it in the running lights like kinda flicker as well as the information center. Then it will pop that 15amp fuse. The dash lights would come on sometimes before the fuse popped. Ok well all help is appreciated. Thanks

If you don;t have one, get an Multi meter. one of the more cost effective tools out there, like ratcheting wrenches, and beer.

fuse blowing is usually due to a condition called a short, those are bad.

If you get flickering and then a blown fuse, look for the electronics part of what ever is blowing. usually sign of a bad capacitor they need to charge a little so you can get flicker as it charges and discharges, then boom when the fuse finally gets warm enough. if it's immediate, look for a wire that rubbed into a piece of metal, and at the electronics lots of stuff fail short.

loose wires are more something isn't working, though if it got ripped out you could get a short that way.

Sounds like you need a wiring diagram.

It has to do with the illumination circuit for sure.

Any ideas?
