I have an issue occasionally when starting the 2003 truck. Once in a while as I turn the key, the electrical system stops the vehicle mid-start, the door locks lock themselves, and the dummy lights just stay lit up in the instrument cluster. Anyone know where to begin looking?

IDK. I would start with checking the battery and battery connections/wires for corrosion and that they are tight. That can cause all kinds of crazy electrical issues. Maybe you starter motor is on it's way out. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Just trying to get you started. Maybe post a more detailed description. Good luck

And while you're checking the battery connections, be sure to check the "other" end of the ground wire. Sometimes, corrosion and/or vibration can shake the other end loose.
