2016 Explorer Limited with 125,000 miles. Shortly after putting it in park and pulling out of the spot, if you get into any sort of lower idle and add fuel it stalls. It then has a very hard time getting restarted.

I haven't put my finger on a culprit yet. It has happened only a couple times, and I cannot duplicate it. Battery and alternator both test fine on the multimeter even under a heavy load.

Is there a voltage regulator check I can do? Perhaps it's not electrical. Is there is an O2 sensor somewhere that needs swapped? What else should I check?

Welcome to the Forum.
I'm guessing you meant to say DRIVE in your sentence "Shortly after putting it in park and pulling out....."?
The 2016 Explorer had issues with the throttle body. I don't know if that could be the problem.

I don't think an O2 sensor would cause it to stall. You might get a check engine light for that though.
If you just started the engine, the ECU would likely still be in open loop, so it doesn't reference the O2 sensors yet.

As Peter mentioned, the throttle body was an issue on some of the "mid run" 5th gens, but I thought that only caused the engine to go back to idle with no throttle input.

Based on the description, it almost sounds like a fuel issue. Adding throttle and stalling is/was a symptom of running lean.
How's your fuel level?

Oof. That was a pretty dumb mistake. I'll educate myself on the throttle body issue.

Yeah, I got to twisting around that it might be fuel related. The level is fine, and hasn't really been below a quarter tank in a long time. We have only bought gas at the same three reputable gas stations since Thanksgiving. I could shotgun a filter cross my fingers.
