starter RELAY?
Anybody with a 91-93 model know if testing the starter relay will show a current of 12volts upon starting immediately or if its normal for it to gradualy bump up from 3 to 7 then to 12 in about 2 seconds?
Ok, Now I am really getting frustrated. Did a bench test on the starter and starter solenoid, both are good. On the starter RELAY I used a screw driver and conected both contacts to each other and the engine cranked right up!!
Took the top smaller cable off the starter RELAY and hooked a meter up to it(the smaller cable/wire) and turned the ignition, the meter fluctuated from 3 then to 7 finally to 12 volts. IS THIS NORMAL? Im now GUESSING some problem between the smaller/top RELAY wire to the igition switch.
ANYONE CLUE ME IN OR AGRREE? HELP!!
CAR WILL NOT START IN PARK OR NEUTRAL UNLESS I HOLD THE SWITCH ON FOR ABOUT 20 SECONDS, then it will clcik, click, click and then start up.
