Hey everyone I'm new to the forums. I just bought a white 1997 Explorer Sport 4x4 with 71,000 miles on it. Got it in perfect condition for only $6,000. Sure beats the hell out of the Civic I had before. I'm 19 years old and I live in southeastern Virginia. Right now I'm in school and don't have much money for mods, but I plan on lifting it and putting dual exhaust on it sometime in the future. If anyone knows of a place online where I can find lift for my Sport, please send me a link because I've been having trouble finding it. Thanks.

Hey welcome to the site man! I know you say i don't have any money right now....you'll find the money after spending little time here ;) Unfortunatly from what ive heard the lift kits for 2nd gen explorere...are pretty darn expensive. However all is not lost! You can do a Torsion Twist for 2"in front, then you can put warrior shackles in the rear (WAR153 it think) I think that the sports have a mono-leaf rear suspension so you won't be able to do an add-a-leaf, unless you goto the junk yard and get the leaf packs off a 4door explorer. With that set up you will have 2" lift, you can then do a body lift, order a body lift for a 96 ranger (I think), and build your own bumper lift brackes. There are TONS AND TONS of threads on these lifts, I just thought i'd give you alittle starting point. I guarentee once you start hanging out here....you'll be hooked and planning your next mods...even a year or two before you can do them....I know that I am haaha

Welcome!!

Hi there, while I am new around here myself, I can point you in the right direction for lifting your x.

Do a search on torsion bar lift on forums or thru tips listed on front page.

Hope this helps.
