- 1994 Aero X2 3.0 a4ld
Hello all
I am the proud owner of 2 94 aeros (not just a clever screen name)
I have a green standard length XL and a gold extended length XL.
I bought the green one as a cheap car for my wife (paid 400) and liked driving it so my much I bought her an extended (paid 350) and decided to keep the short van for me.
Both are 3.0 automatics. 135K on the short. 195K on the extended.
I have run the gauntlet when it comes to Ranger Based Vehicles. 1985 2.8 auto 4x4 ranger, 1987 2.9 BII Stick, 1988 2.3 4x2 ranger, 1993 4X4 Explorer (on of my favorites) 1997 5.0 Mercury Mounty (My favorite) 2000 3.0 extended cab ranger (still in the family) and know my two aeros. (quickly becoming my favorites).
I am not a stranger to Aerostars. My parents ordered a 1986 after only looking at a brochure at the local ford dealer. Me and my three brothers took all the space that short van could offer so they special ordered a RED extended 5 speed van (wish I still had it) to replace first one. The red one was later replaced with an auto extended a few years later and that got sold when my brothers and I started driving.
My two vans need to be caught up on maintenence (trans flushes coolant changes...) and some repairs that I am sure that this forum will help with.
Thanks for reading the long post.
