Hello - I'm Bill Underland, my wife is Ann and we just purchased a 2006 Explorer Eddie Bauer, w/4.0L V6 4x4 which we will use as a tow vehicle for our '16 Spree Escape 20' travel trailer. Home is Athens, Ga since 2011 and 17 yrs in Pocono Pines, Pa prior. Foolishly, I bought the vehicle "as is" and found a rats nest of "check engine" light issues on the way home.....................two days work in the local garage and after being "out" for 10 miles it reappeared. Read lots of Car Guru member on forum who have experienced similarly. A google search for explorer led me here and I hope to learn more about this car into which I have poured such hopes & dreams for our travelling future.
This will be a new experience for two 80+ year olders after a few years in the mid 1970's when we towed an 18' Terry trailer. There were no "check engine" then and the driving life was simpler!
