i was checkin out things in the engine and i took off the little air silencer thing on the air box, just to see if it made a difference. i didnt notice any difference... should i put it back on?

also i hear people talking about removing the "wall" behind the headlights to let in more cool air.... exactly what wall is htis? could anyone take some quick pics of it or just tell me which wall it is and how to remove it. (i have a feeling its the metal one and id need to cut it out with something, im just not sure)

Taking out the silencer does help airflow, and does not hurt anything. The 'wall' thing is pointless- that won't help, so don't worry about it. If you want to improve your airflow, cut out the sides of your lower airbox that face the headlight and the wheel well, and put a K&N filter in there.

Please read this thread on cutting the airbox. Make sure you reset the computer and you should notice a power increase due to the extra air.

well its just a temporary thing until i get a new intake. i was thinking of ordering a MAC, but im hearing all these stories about how the whistle a lot and it bugs... so im thinking about going back to the KKM.
