Hello fellas, i have a 4 channel auidobahn amp, the A4400E. and i am currently runnning 2 OZ 10 inch subs in a bandpass box, this is a temporary box for now. I was wondering if i was getting the maximum performance out of my system cause i spliced into the rear speakers and connected a line converter to it, and then used a Y splitter for the RCA's in order to hook it up to my amp, i had to split it since my amp is 4 channel. I ask this since anytime I put up the volume it seems that there is a crossover and the bass is be limited some how, what i mean is, even if i wanted to, I would not be able to blow the subs i was testing. is this normal.

and also, i have the amp mounted where the factory sub and box was, the JBL equipment, and it gets pretty hot in there, i was wandering what i can use as a heat sheild to put between the amp and the trucks body, i have about ooo 3-4 inchs in between there.

also if there are anyone familar with audiobahn amps, i bought my amp off my cuz, so i wanted to know the exact specs of it, the A4400E, if it is 2 ohm stable and so on, cause it isnt too new, it does not light up blue in the window, should it? the more specs the better

I hope you all understand what im talking about, u guys are smart im sure u will, thanks a lot for any help at all.

peace and guidance
Troy

i think i know what you are talking about. the reason it sounds like there is a cross over is because a bandpass box is like a natural cross over. it limits the frquencies that you can hear. there for to fix this, you need to ttune the box to the frequencies you want. unfortunately i have no idea how to tune them.

to cure the heat problem you could hook up a fan to cool the amp.

hope i helped!

o and heres the specs u wanted
