So what's up with the lack of things going on around the Midwest area? It seems like everyone else is going somewhere or doing something. Is anyone interested in some sort of Midwest crew meeting? Doesn't nessesarily need to be an offroading event... Any thoughts?

perhaps we could all try to get something going

Usually during summer there are more things that we can do... places to go. Pretty soon we will plan a trip to the 600 acres... fun in the mud at the Badlands... sometime in March or April I think - as soon as the sun warms the air up a bit. Other than that there's not much we can do. Some guys just went to Lake Geneva WI...

not much goes on in the midwest during winter... them California and Arizona guys can go wheeling every day... us? we can play in the snow during daily driving to and from work... I do.
:D

What snow? We haven't gotten crap for snow down here (nothing new)! There is absolutely no place to go wheeling around here either unless you know somebody or own some ground yourself. I would love to get a group of midwesterners together for a meet and greet and to plan some wheeling trips.

I second sncwfo99's idea for a meet and greet for planning stuff...

well, if you check posts in Explorer Clubs, Trail Runs forum than you'll find one about a meet and greet that will take place in Volo, Illinois on March 6th, 2004 at 11:00AM... we have this annual meeting at the Volo Car Museum.

Anyone is free to stop by.

Also when we usually plan runs (off-road trips) we gather at the Badlands Off-Road Park in Attica, Indiana... it's the closest place for everybody. We should set something up pretty soon. Playing there while it's cold is not much fun so first warm-up we'll be there.

I'm pretty sure we can start planning now. Look for new post in the Explorer Clubs, Trail Runs forum.

For now check this thread:
Midwest meet and greet

Pretty soon we should also have another meet and greet in Chicago...

anyone close is welcome to attend.

which one? we used to attend the Superlift's 4XAdventure... not anymore. Even Rick and a few more guys came in 2001... I think... or was it 2000?

anyway... anyone intersted in attending?

If we can get something together for the badlands..say in april, as long as I don't have any tests comming the following week, i'll be there. I've been craving a trip up to attica for ahwile. Now that I have the lift and MT's i think i could probably do abit...not everything of course but have a hell of alot of fun.

hope it works out!
CP :D

and we might do something soon. Just have to give enough notice so everyone can make arrangements...

what date did you have in mind?

Rockport Off-road park

anyone that is up for going to ROCKPORT park, let me know when. anytime pretty much and i'll be there, just curious to guys that have been there, does it have a nice variety of trails for stock-highly mod.??

cause i'm at school only 2 hrs away, but basically a stock truck, love to get it dirty though.

bump,

It's March now, and the Rockport Park rock crawl is only a few weeks away, i'm def. not joining in on that fun, cause i don't have the set up, but the rest of the park will be open, so i plan on watching for awhile then enjoying many of the open 1600 acres they have available. Anyone still want to meet, have some fun, let me know, i'm prob bringing a few buddies of mine here from school and their trucks<tacoma 4x4,dodge 4x4>
