Based upon seeing pyramid and legacy in the links I can already tell it is going to be ****.

Bleh.. Pyramid and Legacy are the really low-end of car audio. And I'm not even kidding in the slightest.

What exactly are you looking for in your system? Just that casual thump, or your entire truck bumping?

Price may be a factor, but if you're going to do it, do it right the first time.

I want it to bump do you have any suggestions to a better setup?

Well by the looks of your amp slection seems liek your trying to do this half way cheap....

I have my system for sale, Box/sub(only one 12")/amp/wire kit....

PM or Im Me

Please don't buy Audiobahn subs.

If you want some cheap great sounding subs look at Http://www.edesignaudio.com Their Kx series is good and Uber cheap. If you can afford more look at some of their other subs. You can also get Avionxx amps there that are good and put out more power then rated.

audiobahn is great.... jl, phoenix gold and several others are great too

legacy and pyramid suck.......

Thanks for all the advice I'll be looking into these!

Theres the one i have for sale.....

anything at circuit city, best buy, compusa whatever department store is probably not what you want. those are for lazy people who judge on looks and dont know anythign. whats your price range? i would look into Type R's, or adire shivas if you have the space.

My price range is around 200-600

haha 200-600 is a big range. for that though, you could get a bad ass sytem. what kind of music do you like? and do you want sq or spl? basically do you want them to sound really good or be loud as hell or both or 60/40 you know what i mean

Man you guys are kinda brutal and yer talkin Rs with this guy and Shivas it doesn't sound like he wants to go with a total custom setup here. You guys need to chill out and give the right advice for the right situation not just blow up with the best stuff you can think of...

Audiobahn is fine bro....
You can also consider a Lanzar or something of the sort, many people are skeptical of Lanzar but I have seen them in action and they make a decent product. May I also tell you that as an employee of BEST BUY the dual setup is trash...we had that thing smoking one time...that is about the only fun it is good for....pick up some RF stuff if you want a pretty good product for a pretty good price. oh and your range is that sub only or Sub and Amp from what you are telling us ,I am thinking Sub and Amp....if that is the case let me know I will try to come up with a decent setup for you. And please let us know what your listening tendencies are.....oh and jayhawk137 200-600 isn't going to get you something badass it is going to get you a good sub and amp combo...you want something badass go pick up a MMATS amp and some MOJOs or DDs or REs....don't know what yer talkin about or what your idea of a badass setup is.....

no need to make it personal. im not speaking for him but seems like if hes considering legacy, a set of JL 12w3's or infiniti kappa perfects would be awesome. personally i think rf is over priced. either way, check out caraudioforum.com and read some of the posts there on any thing your considering, even ask. they know their stuff. try ikesound.com or discountsjungle.com for some good prices. and playa, how about you chill out cause you dont know what hes thinking either

I listen to rap 100% and I'd like the system to bump but still sound good sry i dont reply very fast i had a lot going on today

BTW its a sub/amp combo i didnt see that question untill i read it again

my opinion would be going with JL 12w3s and a JBL 600.1 amp or even L7. i think this is a big investment though. my advice would be to bring a cd of whatever songs you like to a car audio shop. around me we have Tweeter, or any custom shop, and try a couple of the subs out. im sure youll get some more
setups from people. Oh and also dont forget to figure in the cost of wire, and the box. if you want to make your own box, itll be maybe 30-40$ at the most. some people charge, 200$+ for the boxes they sell, thats BS, most of them suck anyway. im not really sure about wire but id estimate like 20-30(??) not sure. playa sounds like he knows his stuff, he should give you some more ideas. do a search to find out about building your own box, because although buygin one is easy, im sure youll love it even more if you can say you made it from scratch and did everyhting.

Thanks for all your help, this morning I went out and bought the setup from circut city, it was cheap and its a good starter kit because im not really looking for anything long term. But now I have to either install it myself or pay them 65 for them to do it. How easy is it to wire yourself?
