35 bucks for the bolt lol got the engine back in but my timings off on the cams, ive seen this guide http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=358576

is it really that simple to time this motor? stick an allen key in the opening on the cam and line it up with the head on both cams the set crank to tdc and tighten?

that was strangely easy lmao later that day had it running great again. i do have to replace the fron cassette now lol but atleast i can do that one with the engine in.


aaaannnndddd whats the repercussions of not having the dust shield between the engine and transmission lol found it after the test drive of the truck

Dust shield, you mean that metal plate that goes between the whole block and bellhousing? Repercussions could include a trashed torque converter and transmission pump. Not 100% sure but personally I'd be getting that thing back in there. They didn't put it there for fun.
