Hey guys and Ladies,

I'm trying to buy the main A/C hose for my wife's 02 Explorer, but all I can find at the Auto parts stores are ones made for Explorers WITH rear A/C.

Nobody even lists one for "w/o rear A/C"

I believe the majority of the models didn't have this option, so does anybody know if they come with caps that you can leave the ports to the rear A/C capped off and use it anyways?

I've got one ordered and I'm going to look at it tomorrow to see if that's an option, but just curious if anybody has run into this issue while performing this repair.

Thanks!

Welcome aboard!! :salute:

If you go to www.fordpartsgiant.com and enter your VIN, you can search for parts specific to your Ex. This way you can find the correct part and have an idea of what it looks like.

Hope this helps out. :biggthump

Thanks for the link, and the welcome!

It looks like Ford has done it again. :(

I'm going to have to pony up for the Ford Motocraft part, since all the auto parts stores only carry hoses for Explorers with rear a/c.

No problem. Good luck.

Thanks for the link BigRondo. I've been dealing with the same issue. The Ford part number for the assembly with ONE(1) connection on the dryer side (no rear aux heater/air) is 2Z-19D850-AA and/or YF2709. O'reilly has it listed...$317. YIKES..Run for cover!
Thank God for Ebay leveling the field!! Motorcrook part, & The price is less 1 arm and 1 leg, minus tax. :D
