Issues with In Channel Vent Visors

I got some nice In Channel Vent Visors (or whatever you want to call them) for xmas. I installed them yesterday and they look really nice. However, it seems the on the front windows, when I roll them up its like the window hit the visors, and sometimes if rolled up all the way they get stuck. The back windows work fine.

Anyone else ever experience this or am I just an idiot?

ive experienced it too. IMO in channel visors are horrible. when i installed them on my sport, and let them sit for an entire day with the window closed so that the tape would adhere properly.. the first time i rolled my window down, on the way back up each window caught the corner of the visor and broke a piece of it off. when any water whatsoever gets up in that channel, and it freezes.. i cannot get my drivers window down for the life of me. if i had to do it again.. i wouldnt of installed them.

oye. I like the look of the in channel better because the ones you top directly on to the body just look like they dont belong...

Maybe try spraying some teflon spray up in there to prevent them from sticking to the window. Should also help greatly with the ice too.

after all the interfering plastic cracked off.. the only problem i have is the occaisonal sticking in cold weather. and now that i think about it, they are kind of nice to have when its raining. hopefully my ventvisors will forgive me.

i was thinking along the same lines, because tis the season here so I do have to worry about freezing.

I think maybe i'll see about nicely clipping away some interferring plastic if the problem doesnt correct itself (ie, the more times it flexs the easier it gets)

So I had my first piece of the visor break off today, and with the snow the damn windows are freezing multiple times a day...

I think I've isolated the issue to piss poor quality. These are $20 ebay vent visors. I think over the summer I'm going to have someone install some nice brand name vent visors because i'm just not happy at all with this install.

i have mine installed for about 5 months now and never had those problems.. on the front windows, a lot of times people install the "lip" thing that extends towards the side view mirrors the wrong way.. that lip should tuck in between the plastic cover of the mirror and the outer panel of the window channel so it pulls the corner neatly and out of the way of the window.. just my $0.02...

I've had mine in for 10 months or so. I've used sand paper up in the channels of every channel to stop the binding. I'm still having trouble with the passenger front.

I experienced the freezing thing a couple of weeks ago. That was fun...

It's true that you need to make sure that they are installed correctly. That funny lip thing does matter.

Even though they've been a pain in the neck, Overall I like them especially in the summer...

Which brands would you guys recommend for the visors? there are a lot of cheap ones, and a lot of expensive ones...is this one of those things where you get what you pay for? or does it not make a difference?

i would get "Lunds" they have made respectable plastic parts for years

AVS or Lund for vent visors, and Lund for bug deflector.
