Hey guys, I have power locks on my 01 sport and the rivet that holds the mechanism to unlock and lock the doors broke. They want $100 at the shop to replace the rivet. Could I just use some JB Weld to hold the rivet in place? I will try and post a pic to explain it. Thanks for the help.

If the rivet that holds the mechanism broke, you can try drilling the bracket out and putting a nut & bolt down or you can rent a heavy duty rivet gun from Autozone and do it yourself if they rent them.

Just JB Welded and will see if that holds up. How would you recommend drilling the old one out?

the size is 1/4 inch drill bit.

I would not trust JB weld.

I would drill it out and get it all ready take it to a local body shop and see if they will rivit it in place for twenty bucks
