the jbl 1200.1 puts out an impressive 1200w @ 2 ohms.
your subs on the other hand are a little too much for it, specs include: 280 oz. magnet, 1500w rms, and 2ohm dvc coils.
if you parralell them you should have an all around good op. for your amp, it would be pushing 1200 w and there would be no problem. but if you dont want to harm your subs, i would say get an amp that can put out atleast the rms needed for the subs.....
its not that more power is better...its just that if you want your subs to stick around you need an amp that can *push* and *pull* the coils with relative ease.
if money is tight, then hey ya gotta do what you gotta do, but if you havent bought your subs yet, think of getting some with a 1000w rms p. handling ability.
and get 2 subs....i think that was the original q.....
