How do you think 2 10" Audiobahn flame Qs would sound ran by a jbl bp1200.1 amplifier? The have an rms of 900 watts and i have heard the jbl can run up to 750 to each sub. Do you think the subs would be too underpowered?

No...I am only pushing my Flame Q 12" with 350w and the thing rocks...it will sound great.

I've never heard that the 1200.1 will put out 1500 watts... I have heard that they are underrated a bit, but the highest I've heard of anyone actually metering off their amp was around 1350... But I'm sure it will sound fine actually...

He shouldn't need anything more, as long as he purchased the right subs and can wire them down to a 2 ohm load at the amp... Otherwise he may want to change out amps or subs...

wait nevermind, those are the 06's, and the load would be closer to 1 ohm both subs parralled together, actually less.

Less than one ohm??? Yikes... If he can get between 1 and 2 he should be fine... JBL says the amp is stable at 1 ohm...

Hey jssong, how much are you selling your amp for and is it the JBL 1200.1?

When car audio mag tested a 10" 06 series they found the lowest impedance to be 1.85 ohms for one sub wired in parallel, soooo 2 subs would be: somwhere around .9 ohms, Its probably close enough that the JBL can handle it, its a very stout amp, from others opinions.

actually my amp is an audiobahn a2300hcq amp. Its 2400x1 watts rms at 1 ohm.

I believe that amp is way out of my budget, thats why i am leaning toward the jbl, its only 250$.

i love my BP1200.1.....just two weeks ago i sold my solobaric sub to my cousin so ive been without a system but my friend needed to take his out so we put his amp and subs in my X and needless to say my amp pounds on his subs while his just sounds like crap

he's got a Hifonics Zeus amp (1000 RMS) and some cheaper Audiobahn subs (bought them for $54 each on ubid.com

his Hifonics amp draws wayy too much power and it makes the lights dim, while my BP1200.1 can pound away and only dim on a very few songs


the only downside is the amp doesnt have a subsonic filter.....which you can easily correct for about 20$

if you visit www.thezeb.com and click on "Harrison Labs" in the left side you can find a product they make call a "F-Mod" which is just a set of plugs that you plug either straight into the RCA's and into the amp or from the back of the cd player and run though the RCA's

Those cheaper amps, wont name names, wont only draw horrific amounts of power, but will also often put out very distorted power, that could easily damage a speaker.

The only distorted power you'll get is by an clipped signal, which won't happen unless you haven't got a clue what you're doing. All you have to do is match the gain on the amp with the voltage of your pre-out's and you'll be fine

I am thinking about buying that audiobahn a2300hcq amp of yours jssong, it goes on ebay for 485$. How old is it, and does it have any scratches or dents in it?

i bought it in late dec. got it installed by a shop in early jan. Ive only had it for a month and a half installed in my x. no scractches or dents. In perfect conditions.. ill have pics hopefully tonite. i didnt buy it from ebay, but from www.thezeb.com
