JL 6.5" Sub

Does anyone have any specs on the size of the original sub enclosure in a '92? I have seen a JL 6.5" sub that i think will replace the factory part but it is spec'd for a .175 cf enclosure. I know there are other enclosures available but i dont have the cash right now. Thanks for the help.

It's a bit more than .175, but you could always fill the box up with stuff to take up volume. There are people on here that have used the existing box and put 8's comfortably with a Dremel to enlargen the hole and others that fudged in a 10. You might be able to find an 8 with that requires a really small volume and that'd be it. The 10 would probably not play as well as it could with an unintended box, but you'd probably get better sound then what you have right now with the 6.5.
