Ok I have just a few more newbie questions about my 94 sport that I just started driving. I have searched and not really found what I was looking for. First I was wondering what is the biggest tire that I can run with the stock suspension? I was thinking 31's but also wondering how hard that is going to be on it with the 3.27 gears and the manual trans? And my last question is what are some good sites to find accessories for it? I am looking for roof racks, lights, etc to dress it up a little. Oh well I have one more question, what is the easiest way to get about 2in of lift out of it? I have read about spacers for the front but what kind do I need to run and also what kind of shackles for the rear? I work for advance auto parts so if I can get them there it's even better. Thanks in advance!

As for the tire question:

Welcome to the board! I was just in your neck of the woods this past weekend. Ate at the Daniel Boone Inn on Friday and then skiing at Beech on Saturday.

For all of those who don't know about the Daniel Boone Inn it's located in Boone, NC and there is no menu. You pay $12.00 per person, and you go in and sit down and they just start bringing food until you say stop. Fried Chicken, Green Beans, corn, mashed potatoes w/gravy, ham biscuits, plain biscuits, cooked apples, and then strawberry shortcake or blackberry cobbler for dessert. If you are ever in the area, great place to eat.

Hey...that place sounds like somewhere I'll have to look for next time i'm up that way. I ate at a place like that in PA once...run by an Amish family. They just sat you down at a huge table with a bunch of people and kept bringing out food till you left.

Thanks for the replies. The daniel boone inn is a great place to eat and they really bring some food that's for sure. So how long did you have to wait to eat because that place is packed full of people on the weekends especially with the slopes open. As far as the search features are concerned I have used them and not got a good answer that I am looking for. Thanks for the links that will be a good place for me to start and that was all I wanted.

Shackles: Made by Warrior Part# WAR-153 you can get them at www.DesertRat.com and other places.

With the search you sometimes have to either narrow the search down or be willing to read alot.

We were lucky for once. Everytime I had been before, I always had to wait. But we walked right in and sat down, right away. We didnt get there until about 7:30p, so maybe that helped.

What about that axle ratio? Are you sure it has 3.27 w/the sport?
My '91 has 3.73's...but is an automatic.

You might wish to change to 3.73 gears with traction-loc, for a big improvement in get up.

I looked at the tag on the rearend and it they are the same for all 8.8's then it's a 3.27 with the limited slip diff. I always thought that it would be a 3.73 since it has the towing package and all but it has the 3.27's. I would like to go with 3.73's but I don't want to have to change front and rear. I ordered the spacers for the front and picked up some shackles at work today so it's going to be about 2in higher in a week. I just wonder if it's going to look funny with the 235/75's. I have also thought about 30x9.5's instead of the 31's since I am not sure about the 31's and the 3.27's.

Right now mine is still running the 235's with the shackles and TT...for about the same height gain as you should get. Check my pictures if you want. the link is in my sig.

does it say 3L27 on the tag? I'm just really wondering about that setup...with a tow package, limited slip, probably skid plates, 235's , it should have a gruntier gearing. 3.27 sounds like something on a 2wd with 225's? I'm not coming down on your truck at all, I'm a huge newbie, just sounds sort of self defeating to have a higher gearing with a tow package. My sport doesn't have the tow package. Maybe a manual tranny thing?

Yea if you are looking at the second line of the tag it's more like 3 L27. Which on the mustang 8.8's means that it's a 3.27 gear with a limited slip differential. I thought that it was a little strange to have the 3.27 with the towing option too. Our 99 EB had a 4.0 SOHC with a auto and it has 4.10 gears. So I am not sure why the 94 only has 3.27's.

That axle code does say 3.27's Like you guy's said...kinda strange for one with a towing package.

3.27 with a stick isn't bad at all. It's what I have, on a 4-door 2wd. You guys are used to the auto tranny. I've got plenty of low end, with a 300 lb system and me in the car, I beat a 2002 PT Cruiser Auto, which is much lighter than me and about the same HP. (165 vs. 150, but figure I've lost some compresstion, and my valves tick) I beat him to 60 mph by 3 car lengths. It is a little much for bigger tires, though. You might go through your clutch a little faster, mine lasted 160,000 miles, but it was treated nicely.
