Hello Ford Owners,
I just got a 2007 Sport Trac Ltd. I had been looking for a nice one for about a month & could not find any locally. I previously had a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland & must say that the Sport Trac rides much better- less bouncy. The Jeep was way more powerful and Ido miss the killer accelleration. Mileage is just as crappy but on the 5 1/2 hr drive back to Milwaukee, I averaged 21.3mpg. This might be a record high for a V8 4x4! Im getting 14-15mpg now.
So far, I had the local dealer reflash for the lousy shifting. Much better now but I still get the occasional bump taking off. I have a SCT programmer on the way & hopefully will get the truck to shift like it should-shame on Ford.
This week I plan on changing out the rediculous spark plugs since Im at 65k miles. Lets hope none break. Still no one-piece spark plug revise from ford. Again, shame on Ford.
I bought a Gold remote start kit & PATS kit and the damn thing didnt come with any installation instructions! I have searched & searched- Does anyone know where I can find them? I would like to get this installed before the snow gets here.
