Just got an overhead console.

Hey,
I just got an overhead console (sunroof style). I was wondering about the mounting bracket. It is just that little black peice of plastic in the back that sticks out a little bit, and the two metal clips? Or is there somethin else I need to get?

Not sure about the Xplorers but look above the headliner and check to see if there is a bracket for the o/h console to snap into.

You will probobably need to find a overhead metal bracket. It's a metal bracket that mounts to the actual roof underneath your headliner. The bracket has slots for those metal clips to push into.
I bought my bracket from a Ford dealer...it was not too much. I also got the temp sensor at the same time.
The best thing to help you out is to type in "overhead console" in the search feature. There are a lot of good threads about installing the console...and some have some pretty good pictues that show all the parts, including the bracket you need.
