Well my first car is a 95 mustang, but i bought 1998 Explorer XLT for a winter/daily driver. Anyway i got a couple questions.
First, is it normal to feel a little churning in the front diff. when im stopped at a light?

Second, is there supposed to be a cover or covers for the cupholders in the center console?

I'll post some pics later this week if any one wants to see a bone stock explorer.

First off I do not understand how you can feel anything in the front diff when not moving.

yea...while not moving? Define churning.

churning was a bad word, i guess it just feels like the diff is still spinning(very slowly) when the car is stopped, which i know does not make any sense at all, but that's what it feels like. Does anyting else make a noise or vibrate the floor while at a stop, that other people have noticed?

i could be totally wrong that is is coming from the diff. but i can feel it though the floor and i can also hear it.

Well it sounds a little strange, I guess you could move the transmission into neutral and see if you still feel/hear it. Does the transmission feel smooth in shifting, any vibrations when moving, hiway speed etc.??? Are there any other symptoms? Steering okay?Try and give us all a little more info on what is happening. How many miles on it?

well it's got 77,x.. miles, very very smooth shifting, no vibrations or noises any other time except when turning as sharp as possible into a parking spot. I have not tried putting in into neutral, but i will tomorrow. it still does it in park though

I need new brakes, they grind if applied hard.
could they be the problem becuase they are unable to keep the car stationary?
