Just installed Explorer Express anti sway bar

Jornum1: Just curious..what did you use to lower the rear of your truck? and if you could post some new pics with the clear corners rather than the red covers on your sport that would be really nice to see. You're truck rules..still deciding on what to do with my 98 sport. Also, I believe that you sold your original rims/tires..how much did you get for them if you don't mind sharing? Trying to get some details in so I can purchase the '95 Cobra R's and some pirelli scorpion zero's :-)

Thanks

Brandon

nope I have a set of ramps and used them. You could probably even do it while it was just on the ground. Might be a bit of a tight sqeeze though.

well I am still in the process of selling my wheels. I will tell you what I get for them if my deal goes through with the person that is interested. Also I will get some pics, I washed my truck yesterday and of course it is raining. I will take some pics now even though its wet. It still looks nice ;-) Also I want to show my clear corners with the blues, and my piaa superwhites. I also installed last week some side markers with blue lights. They look great. I just ordered wedsday the euros also for my truck. I cant find them anywhere online, and autosyndicate said they werent making them anymore. I went to my local speed shop and he said he could get them, he just had to order them. So they should be here monday or tuesday. woo hoo ;-) I will post the pics this early tonight.

Well, I just put the sway bar on my ride today, and I agree, it makes a noticeable difference, I think it was well worth the money. Like Jornum said, its beefier than the stock bar (stock bar is .75", ExplorerEx bar is 1.25"). Install was so easy, they don't even provide detailed instructions.

how big of a difference??? and did you do the front too??? I was looking at the entire kit- I think thats my next thing to dump money into- lol

The only bar that ExplorerEx sells for the 98 is the rear, they claim the front was already revised by Ford on the 98's. I'm still running stock rubber, but the back end no longer feels like it is rolling over onto the sidewalls, and trying to track outside the front wheels. According to ExplorerEx, stock Ex's are tuned to understeer, and the beefier sway bar helps neutralize that.

Is the sway bar from Explorer Express the best one to get for a 99 limited? Or are there better ones out there???

I ordered mine the other day. I'll get it installed on Friday, so I just hope it lives up to your assesments.

Greengoose, there are other manufacturers out there, I just never checked into who else makes them for the Ex.

N2knee, I don't think you will be dissatisfied with it. Most of the feedback I got was from this site, and the people who already have it. To date, I haven't heard anyone say anything negative about it.
