I had on Default Factory Code. Found info from Pricerj very helpful. I got my code from the box in the passenger side rear trim panel. Now I need to know how to change or add my new code. I did not get an owners manual either. I would also know how to get a new key with out being robbed. Thanks

To program a personal code into the keypad, first you must select 5 digits that are not in sequential order. In othere words, make sure not to select 1,2,3,4,5 or 1,3,5,7,9 or even 1,4,5,8,0 because those are the first sets of buttons that all thieves will try.
-Enter the permanent code that you found
-Within 5 seconds press the 1/2 button once
-Within 5 seconds, enter your personal code

That's it! Entering your personal code will unlock the driver's door. If, within 5 seconds of entering your personal code, you press the 3/4 button, ALL doors will unlock. The permanent code will also work to unlock in the same way.

To lock all doors after exiting, press the 7/8 and the 9/0 buttons at the same time. This will also arm your factory-installed alarm. No other codes are necessary to lock your vehicle.

Good luck

In Ozone Park NY you are in zone 11.
-Press and hold the MODE button until VAR appears (about 4 secs)
-Release the MODE button and the display will show current zone.
-Press the MODE button repeatedly untill you get to 11.
-After about 3 secs, the display will flash and return to normal operation.

If it still seems inaccurate, you may need to recalibrate the compass:
-Find an open area that is free of metal structures and high voltage lines like a very large empty parking lot. (I did mine in the Jones Beach parking lot at about 9pm.)
-Press and hold the MODE button until CAL appears ( about 8-9 secs).
-Once the CAL indicator appears, release the MODE butten and drive very slowly (less than 3mph) in a 360 degree circle until CAL turns itself off. May take 2-3 circles.
-Check that VAR is still at 11 and you are done.

Lastly, to get to the cigarette lighter, remove the radio and you can easily reach the wire connector for the cigarrette lighter and unscrew the unit. Mine didn't work either but when I checked, the wires were loose and pushing them firmly together has all working as expected.

Thanks I will try this However where is the mode button I do not have an owners manual.

the MODE button is the one on your overhead console between the light buttons. It changes the temp reading from F to C.
