Does K&N have a model that works on the 4.0L V6? I've seen the KKM model over on Kustomz, but I've always gone with K&N in the past. The K&N website says no, but I've found they don't always keep up.

Yeah just go on there site and put in your vehicle info and they will give you the part number.

Tried that with no luck. K&N say no. I was just hoping there was some sort of crossover that might be listed under a different model that would still work on the ST.

Yeah I can't find one for anything newer than 2005 I would find out if the older 4.0 is the same as yours then you could use it.

Were you satisfied with your order? I have never heard of that company before and want to make sure they are legit.

There legit it was brand new in the box.

BigV,

How is truck running since the CAI and exhaust have been installed?

Runs great little quicker throttle response and little more power. I still have to cut out the resonator that will really open up the exhaust. Then the tuner I am just waiting to see if they get the 6 speed codes so I can change the trans shifts.

Dave D & Big V
you can get a cai for the 4.0L just check at a good Auto parts Store and talk to someone with some experience. i spoke to a man at a store that has owned the cai and just a drop-in filter and based on what he said i decided on a drop-in because:

according to him newer stock intakes are already very free-flowing the purpose of a cai is better air flow, unless you are racing you will not see a huge difference between a drop-in and full cai. mainly because the big difference is in the higher rpm range, rpms that are not sustained in normal driving conditions

That's a nice look! Why are you taking it off?

I have the same K&N also and love it, I could have found it a little cheaper on ebay, but I wanted a valid warranty so I got it at here. K&N 77-2573KP, or you can try one of the vendors on the forum here, you can usually find a good deal that way as well. This was very easy to install and I love it :D:D

Are you still having trouble with the oil coating the MAF?
I know the sound could get alittle annoying. I sorta liked the custom one that was made using the stock box, anything to free up the air in a straight tube.

I am looking into other options, but right now I still have concerns about the whistle and oil. I am not sure that everyone experiences these issues.
But I have seen it on the CAI set ups I have seen.
