not sure if this is the right section or not, but i thought i'd share. my wife and i took our son and met up with several of our friends with 4x4 trucks. we went to a trail that's around here. i thought it'd be fun.

i'm in a BONE STOCK 93 explorer while just about everyone else is in their lifted jeeps. there was also a blown toyota 4 runner (no lift and stock tires), a stock 2 door blazer, a stock bronco with good tires, and a stock isuzu trooper. there's a video, but that probably won't be up till tomorrow. needless to say, the explorer got stuck a few times, lol... but for the most part, did amazingly well. there was one spot that was a very steep loooong hill, with lots of ruts and rocks and roots. everyone got stuck at some point except for two... one was the first jeep that made it up... and the other was me!! that's the video that i really want to see. i'll post that up when it comes, but for the mean time, here's a bunch of pictures to hold you over. they really don't do the terrain justice... it was pretty rough in several spots. we all had a blast and nobody broke.

wow that pit looks kinda interesting......did those trucks fall in or is it more of a scrap heep?

i was wondering the same. it looks like they could be recoverable...

I would'nt touch those vehicles with a 10ft. pole since it looks like someone has been dumping them there so they are probably all stolen.

Back on topic: looks like had fun out there. Makes me wanna hope in the X and find some snow:cool:

most likely, those vehicles were stolen... none of us really know. it looks like they could have fallen it too... like i said, who knows? lol. it's too bad really, that's a pretty late model full size chevy with a 5.3 and full four wheel drive running gear. there was also an older f150 sitting on the rotors and drums back behind where we were sitting. had a complete fi 302 in it. gotta say, it's kind of tempting. lol.

I hope that spot was not off I-470 & Raytown Rd.

hey now i live in the KC area where was that at and how do i join along for the ride?

thnx hopefully be riding soon.

Why's that?

Because it is private property and it is trespassing. They keep putting signs up and people keep tearing them down.

A few years ago a Jeep club had an agreement that they could wheel on the property as long as they told the owner when they were going.

Well some assh@les one weekend went wheeling without permission (don't know if it was the jeep club or individuals) and one of them got hurt. The paramedics had to walk all the way back to where the guy was becasue they couldn't drive to him. The owner then said no more because of this.

Sorry to rain on your parade.

We were out with the owners son. He's the guy in the shorts.

Maybe things have changed or it's a differnt spot. The spot I'm talikg about is the one on the south west corner.
