Key dance available for a '94?

I also own a 2006 Town and Country Chrysler. When I get a check engine light on it, I can do the key dance (on/off/on/off/on) and the odometer will give me any codes on the computer.

Is there a similar thing for the 94 Explorer or should I just buy a reader?
