Key fob entry blows fuse.

hi all,im trying to install new fob onto my 97 explorer,before locks get chance to cycle a fuse blows,im guessing its something to do with my central locking but cant find a fault,also when i lock with key only the two front doors lock,any help would be appreciated,is it possible to bypass as only way i can start at moment is through a sequence of key turns on ignition cheers mark
