key less remote stopped working

We have a 2009 ford explorer limited v8, it has one original transmitter, and a cheap purchase one I bought from amazon, well the cheap amazon quit working, I had a spare new transmitter also from amazon, so I reprogrammed the original and the new transmitter and everything worked for a day, now neither of them work. When I do the reprogramming for the factory transmitter during the set-up sequence, the locks respond to register the transmitter, but when I am finished, The transmitter doesn't do anything, it only works when you are trying to set it up. Both cheap ones from amazon no longer work even with new batteries. Any ideas what I can do try and reset the whole system? Does anybody think the transmitters from the 95-01 explorer's could be programmed to the 09? I guess I'll try to order some new transmitters from amazon, or disconnect the battery cable first.

I bought 2 FOBS from amazon and they work fine. However, only 1 of them will work at a time, can't have both active at the same time

I know the ones from the 99-04 mustangs work because I found one in the glovebox at a junk yard and programed it up
